To our clients who are near and dear to us,
We hope that you all are doing well, staying healthy and making the most of our current situation. During the COVID-19 pandemic things have changed for all of us and we always appreciate your support and understanding. I would just like to cover a few things with you that we are trying to navigate.

We hope that you all are doing well, staying healthy and making the most of our current situation. During the COVID-19 pandemic things have changed for all of us and we always appreciate your support and understanding. I would just like to cover a few things with you that we are trying to navigate.
- Please know that appointments may take longer than usual as we are doing our very best to see every pet as soon as possible. The staff are working harder and longer than usual to make sure we can accommodate as many patients as possible in a day's time.
- During these challenging times we have very few same day appointments available. To get a same day appointment may be very hard, therefore please do not expect a same day appointment. We always encourage you to call us and see if there is anything available, or to get your name on our cancellation list. Please know that if your pet is experiencing an emergency we will refer you to an emergency clinic. It would be a disservice to you and your pet if we tried to work your pet in when they are having an emergency.
- Due to high demand our appointments and surgery/dental procedures are booking up 2 to 3 weeks out. We encourage you to call immediately if you think your pet needs to be seen, needs their annual, or other services. If your pet has or already has had an appointment with us and will need to come back for a recheck post operation we encourage you to make that appointment before checking out or leaving the clinic parking lot.
- If your pet has an emergency during normal business hours and we can’t see you, or after hours, please call MedVet Asheville at 828.665.4399 or Haywood Animal Emergency at 828.538.2236. Please check their website or call for hours of operation and availability.
- Our staff is very dedicated to their job and have tremendous love for you and your pets. In the last several weeks we have had some instances where clients and non-clients are getting upset, and even angry with the staff about lack of appointments. We ask that during this time you please show our staff kindness and be patient with us, as we are learning to navigate this new normal just like you!
